The police recovered the body of a young man with his hands, feet and face bound in his rented house in Ashulia, Dhaka.
On Monday (November 20) night, the police recovered the body of a youth named Durul Huda from a room of the house owned by Palashbari Batantek Alam Mia of Ashulia. Later RAB and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) appeared.
It was initially reported that the deceased Durul Huda (40) is the son of Baher Ali of North Fatehpur village of Shibganj police station in Chapainawabganj. He was living in Ashulia with his wife. He worked as a packingman in a pesticide factory. His wife works in a local garment factory.
Locals said that Meherunnessa, the wife of the deceased, came back from the factory after 2.30 pm on Monday and found her husband’s dead body. Later he informed the neighbors. Durul Huda’s body was lying on the floor of the house. His hands and feet were bound with pieces of cloth and his face with scotch tape.
Ashulia Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Malek said, “We went to the spot after receiving the information. We are investigating the reasons why youths are victims of murder in rented houses. Surveillance will be initiated when PBI arrives at the crime scene.
