Today is Armed Forces Day. Like other years, the day is being celebrated with various events. This time, 11 people are receiving peacetime medals from the hands of the Prime Minister. The program of the day will begin with a special prayer at the mosques of all cantonments, naval bases and installations and air force bases of the country wishing for the welfare and prosperity of the country and the progress and progress of the armed forces after the Fajr prayer. On the occasion of ‘Armed Forces Day-2023’, the Prime Minister will felicitate the heirs of Vir Shrestha and selected number of decorated freedom fighters and their heirs at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka Cantonment. At this time, the Prime Minister will confer peacetime posts for the year 2022-2023 on five Army, three Navy and three Air Force personnel. On the occasion of the day, a reception program will be organized by the Prime Minister at Senakunj in Dhaka Cantonment.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the day with due dignity, various programs will be celebrated in other army garrisons, ships and installations and air force bases in the country outside Dhaka. Specially equipped naval ships will be anchored for public viewing at Dhaka, Khulna, Chandpur, Barisal and Chittagong.

Various programs will be celebrated in Dhaka Cantonment today on the occasion of Armed Forces Day. As a result, in order to keep the roads of Dhaka Cantonment (main road from Shaheed Jahangir Gate to Staff Road) traffic free, all types of vehicles except the vehicles carrying the persons staying in the cantonment and the invited guests are to avoid movement through the cantonment area from 7 am to 11 am and from 12 noon to 7 pm. requested
