Chairman of Trinamool BNP Shamser Mobin Chowdhury commented that nobody has the responsibility or right to declare someone undesirable as a citizen of an independent country.

“Those who declared me undesirable violated the law of the land,” he said.

He said these things while attending a courtyard meeting in Sribahar village of Lakshmipasha union of Sylhet’s Golapganj upazila on Monday night.

Trinamool BNP Chairperson Shamser Mobin Chowdhury was recently declared undesirable by the local BNP in Sylhet’s Golapganj and Biyanibazar for ‘falsification’ against his party’s leaders.

Effigies of Shamser Mobin were also burnt in the protest marches and protest rallies organized by BNP in those two upazilas.

In view of this, the Trinamool BNP chief said, “As a free citizen of a free country, anyone can go anywhere in the country; No one can stop it.”

At that time, he said to the local residents, “some people of a certain group sat down and declared me unwanted from Golapganj. You have proved today that their unwanted words have no value.

“You have proved that Shamser Mobin Chowdhury is your man, he will come to you, no one has been given the right to stop him.”

The former diplomat also said, “We have become a habit that we will vote by looking at the marks. Why vote for this brand? We will vote for people. That man will work. People who have faith.”

“I don’t want to make any promises, which I can’t deliver,” he said, demanding more from politicians’ habit of making promises.

Sylhet district convener MA Hannan of the party registered with the Election Commission spoke in the courtyard meeting under the chairmanship of local Faizur Noor and convener of Golapganj upazila branch of Trinamool BNP Chana Mia. In addition to this, the party’s local Md. Zakir Hossain Khan, Kamal Ahmad, Rob Uddin, Salim Ahmad gave speeches.
