Chinese President Xi Jinping is meeting with US President Joe Biden today. A separate meeting will be held between them on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in San Francisco.
White House National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan confirmed this information to reporters on Monday. The leaders of the two superpowers are expected to discuss ways to increase communication between themselves and reduce ongoing conflicts in the world.
Xi Jinping is currently visiting San Francisco to attend the APEC summit. Regarding the face-to-face meeting in San Francisco on Wednesday, Jack Sullivan said, President Biden believes that there is no alternative to a face-to-face meeting to improve the complex bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Jack Sullivan said, the discussion between the two will be fruitful and they will discuss openly with each other to improve communication and reduce conflict.
At APEC, Biden will outline his economic vision for the Asia-Pacific region, Sullivan said. The two will also discuss how to create inclusive, sustainable economic growth in the Asia Pacific region.
