Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has called for a peaceful and orderly success of the 48-hour blockade program today, November 15 and tomorrow, November 16, Wednesday and Thursday. The Acting Secretary General of the party, Maulana ATM Machum, said in a statement yesterday that the current government has turned the country into a dysfunctional state through murders, anarchy, disappearances, murders, corruption and misrule in the past 15 years. Bangladesh has become known in the world as a missing-murder, human rights violator and state without voting rights and democracy. The entire nation today is united in the demand of one point. In this situation, we on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami demand the resignation of the tyrannical government, the formation of a caretaker government during the election, the release of all the royal prisoners and Ulama-Mashaikh including the Ameer Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, withdrawal of false cases and bringing the price of goods within the purchasing power of the people. We have announced a new program of peaceful blockade of roads, railways and waterways across the country for 48 hours till 6 am on Friday, November. I call upon the leaders and workers of Jamaat-e-Islami at all levels and the struggling countrymen to carry out the movement to its ultimate goal by making the declared program peaceful. At the same time, we call upon the people of the country and all levels of the organization not to be confused by any kind of incitement, unconstitutional and anti-democratic activities of the government.
Protest against the arrest of leaders and activists: Jamaat-e-Islami Acting Amir and former MP Prof. Mujibur Rahman said in a statement that yesterday at 1 o’clock Master Noorunnabi, the Amir of Jessore Eastern Organizational District Jamaat, was stripped of white clothes. Dressed DB police arrested him from his workplace Badsha Faisal Islami Institute. He was, however, on bail in a case framed by the government. He wears 2 rings on his heart. On the other hand, the police arrested three students, including Sabit, son of Abdul Momen, a working council member of Shibpur Upazila Jamaat of Narsingdi district. On October 26, Sabit’s father, Abdul Momen, was arrested by the police after breaking the door, grill and cage gate of the house. His younger son was also arrested. In the last 24 hours, the government has illegally arrested 28 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami across the country. In this way, the people’s movement could not be suppressed in the past by arresting the activists and giving false cases, so it will not be suppressed now. I strongly condemn and protest against these oppressions and unjust arrests by the government.
He strongly demanded the government to immediately stop the persecution and unconditionally release all the arrested leaders and activists of Jamaat across the country including Master Noorun Nabi.

On the other hand, at the same time, a procession and rally was held in Mugda area of the capital under the leadership of Central Literary Secretary Nurul Islam.
