The sensational ex-army member of Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj carried out a joint campaign in Khilgaon area of the capital. RAB has arrested 8 people including the main accused in the Rafiqul Islam murder case. On Tuesday (November 14) afternoon, RAB-6 headquarters company arrested them from Bhatiapara camp and RAB-3 from Khilgaon in Dhaka city.
RAB-6 confirmed this in a press release.
The arrested are – the deceased Hasen Molya son of Nizamkandi village of Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj. Keramat Molya (60), son of deceased Hasen Molya. Nuru Molya aka Nur Islam (55), son of Tona Molya. Olyar Molya (50), Md. Son of Keramat Molya. Abul Hasan Molya (30), Mr. Molya’s son. Safi Molya (40) and Md. Chan Mia Molya, son of deceased Panchu Mia. Halim Mia (50) and son of deceased Wadud Molya. Sohail Molya (42).
RAB said that on October 30, former army member Md. Rafiqul Islam (55) was hacked to death by the opponents. In this incident, the victim’s wife filed a murder case at Kashiani police station accusing 78 people as the plaintiff (case number-31). Since then the accused were absconding. On the basis of confidential information, RAB has learned that 8 accused absconders are hiding in Khilgaon police station area of Dhaka city. Later, raids were conducted in the area in front of the Ansar office of Khilgaon police station and the accused were arrested. The accused have been handed over to Kashiani police station.
