Dhaka: Chhatra Dal joint secretary Aman Ullah Aman has been remanded for five days in the case of police constable Amirul Islam Parvez being beaten to death during the clash at BNP’s mass rally.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury gave this order after the hearing on Tuesday (November 14).
On this day, the investigating officer of the case, DB Police Inspector Tariqul Islam, was remanded for seven days
Appeared in the court and applied for a seven-day remand. On behalf of Aman, his lawyer applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. It is opposed by the state. After hearing both sides, the court ordered his five-day remand.
Amanullah Aman was arrested by the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) on the afternoon of October 6 from the road adjacent to Mohakhali bus stand in the capital. Then on November 7, the court remanded the accused for seven days.
Police member Amirul Islam Parvez was beaten to death during the BNP general meeting on October 28. Constable Amirul Islam Parvez was working in CTTC division of DMP. His house is in Daulatpur of Manikganj.
