DMP News: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective-Lalbagh Division has arrested five people including the main suitor and coordinator of Ramzan murder in Kamrangirchar of the capital along with foreign pistols, magazines and bullets.
The arrested are – Golam Rabbi alias Md Rabbi alias Tiger Rabbi alias Suter Rabbi, Mohammad Ali Hossain, Mohammad Sagar alias Tel Sagar, Jewel Mahmud alias Apon and Raju Ahmed Shiplu.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of Lalbagh Zonal Team of DB Lalbagh Division Md. Mostafa Kamal PPM informed DMP News.
He said that they were arrested from Kurar Ghat area of Kamrangirchar on November 9 at 04:10 am. At that time, a foreign pistol, two magazines and five rounds were recovered from their custody.
He said that on October 17, a leather trader named Ramzan was shot dead by unknown terrorists in Kamrangichar. In this regard, a murder case was registered at Kamrangirchar police station. They were arrested with the help of intelligence and technology while investigating the case. Three of the arrested have given confessional statements in the learned court.
This police officer added that another case has been registered against the arrested under the Arms Act.
