The body of an expatriate named Ismail Khan (34) has been lying in the morgue of a hospital in the United Arab Emirates for about 25 days. He is the son of deceased Abdur Rashid of Harni Durgapur of Faridganj Upazila of Chandpur.

He died of heart attack on October 19. His body is currently kept in the country’s Sharjah Kuwait Hospital morgue. However, as there are no relatives in the country, the time to send his body to the country is only getting longer.

On Sunday (November 12), Razia Sultana said to the media that she wanted to see her husband for the last time, “Send this man away.” May I stand by his grave. By all means arrange to send him.’

Razia said that Ismail Khan moved to the Emirates six months ago with a debt burden of about 7 lakh rupees. Where there was a loan of Tk 5 lakh only for the purpose of going abroad. He decided to go abroad with great confidence. He was supposed to repay this loan by earning income. But with his death everything went haywire. Now creditors are constantly flocking to the house for loan money.

Jahangir Alam Rupu, a local expatriate, said Ismail Khan married Razia Sultana socially two years ago. Finding no way to earn a living in the country, Ismail set foot in the Emirates in search of happiness. But he spent a long time unemployed in the country. He died just a few days after starting work on the new visa.
