Today is the 75th birth anniversary of the celebrated novelist Humayun Ahmed. On this occasion, Himu Pathak Adda will celebrate the author’s birth anniversary with various programs throughout the day at Netrakona, the birthplace of the author. This organization named ‘Himu Pathak Adda’ has been working for the past eight years to attract the new generation towards literature by Humayun devotees in the writer’s home district. That’s why on the occasion of the birthday, preparations for organizing the Himu festival are also underway.
On this day, young men and women dressed in Himu and Rupa wear blue saris and yellow panjabi and make the whole city dance with songs in the joyous procession. There are chats, lectures and interesting cultural programs. In this, drama and movie songs written by the author are given priority. It is not only the youth who celebrate the day. This day turns into a gathering of men and women of various ages of Sudhi Mahal including freedom fighters, teachers, journalists, cultural. Today, November 13, Monday, at 11 o’clock in the city, a colorful procession will leave from the temporary office of Satpai Himu Pathak Adda and will go around the main main road of the city and end at the open stage of Moktarpara ground.
