According to the Department of Health, 1,476 people died of dengue this year. Among them 863 people from Dhaka City and 613 people from outside Dhaka City. Besides, 291 thousand 832 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. And 284 thousand 173 people left the hospital after recovery.
The notification also said that in the last 24 hours, 1 thousand 748 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 351 people are in Dhaka City and 1,397 people are outside Dhaka City.
Dengue outbreaks occur every year during the rainy season. The dengue situation started to deteriorate from June this year. Experts said that dengue outbreak will reduce by September-October. But even in the month of November, the terrible outbreak of dengue continues. Dengue has broken all previous records this year. Earlier in 2019, 1 lakh 1 thousand 354 people were infected with dengue fever nationwide. Around 300 people including doctors and health workers died at that time.
