A large quantity of powdered milk, oranges and ginger are being auctioned at the Chittagong Custom House. Even after import, the importers did not release these products due to various complications. Chittagong Customs Authority is auctioning these products as per the rules as these products are not redeemed within the specified time.
On Monday (November 13) at 11:30 an open auction of these products will be held under the management of Chittagong Custom House Auction Branch, said the Deputy Commissioner of Custom House. Mahfuz Alam.
The Deputy Commissioner said that 100,000 kg skimmed milk powder imported from India is being auctioned tomorrow Monday. The reserved value of which is 3 crore 33 lakh 77 thousand 963 taka. This milk powder is imported in the name of Olympic Industries Limited of Narayanganj.
There are two lots of oranges. Among them, the first lot has 21,600 kg of oranges imported from South Africa. The reserve price of which is 36 lakh two thousand 386 taka. Its importer is Deshbangla Food and Beverage Limited of Dhaka, the second lot has 21 thousand 600 kg of oranges. The reserve price of which is 36 lakh two thousand 389 taka. It is also imported by Deshbangla Food and Beverage Limited.
Two lots have imported ginger. The first batch of ginger imported from Indonesia is 22 thousand 100 kg. The reserve price of which is 28 lakh 87 thousand taka. The shipment of this product was imported in the name of Sikdar Ventures of Dhaka.
The second lot has 23 thousand 908 kg 500 grams of ginger. The registered price of these ginger imported in the name of M/s GSR Agro International of Khatunganj, Chittagong is 29 lakh 77 thousand 323 taka.
