A teenager named Milan Hossain (14) died after being hit by a private car in Nilphamari. At that time, his sister Tarzina Akhtar (18) who was with him was seriously injured. The accident happened on Sunday (November 12) afternoon at Itakhola Sarkar Mor area of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
Milan Hossain and Tarzina Akter were going from home to work on a bicycle. They are children of Tariqul Islam of Telipara area of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila.
It is known that Milan Hossain left home for work purpose on Sunday around 2 pm along with his sister Tarzina on a bicycle. On the way, the cyclist Milan Hossain (14) died on the spot when a private car hit him from behind at Sarkar Mor area of Nilphamari-Badiar Mor road. Tarzina Akhtar (18) who was sitting behind the bicycle was seriously injured. The driver of the private car fled from the spot. Later locals rescued them and took them to Nilphamari General Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nilphamari Sadar Police Station Tanvirul Islam told Dhaka Post that currently the body of the deceased Milan and the injured Tarjina are under treatment at the Nilphamari General Hospital. Police are present at the scene. Legal action in this regard is under process.
