Around the arrival of the Prime Minister, there is a festive atmosphere among the local Awami League leaders and activists and common people. After inaugurating the Ghorashal Palash Urea Fertilizer Project on this day, the Prime Minister will attend the public meeting organized at Musleh Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium of Narsingdi Sadar Upazila.
Local Awami League leaders have already made extensive preparations to make the public meeting a success. According to the program of the Prime Minister, the program will start at the fertilizer factory at around 11 o’clock on Sunday. At 12 noon, the Prime Minister will visit the Ghorashal Palash Urea Fertilizer Project factory and address the gathering as the chief guest. In the afternoon, the Chief Minister will address the public meeting under the chairmanship of District Awami League President GM Taleb Hossain at Musleh Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium.
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, other members of the cabinet and senior leaders of the party are expected to accompany the prime minister on this day.
Narsingdi district Awami League president GM Taleb Hossain told reporters, ‘There is a festive atmosphere in the whole of Narsingdi around the arrival of the Prime Minister.’
Industries Minister and Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-4 Constituency Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun said, ‘Narsingdi is not outside the revolution that the Prime Minister has made in the whole country. He built South Asia’s largest fertilizer factory at Palash in Narsingdi. Narsingdi Bisik Industrial City has been expanded. Another industrial city is under construction at Belabo.’
The Industries Minister also said, ‘At the same time, he (Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina) is aware of the long-standing demand of the people of Narsingdi, the University-Medical College and the cold storage for the storage of vegetables produced by the farmers. Hopefully, he will give the demands of the people of Narsingdi as a gift from the rally stage.’
