Own Correspondent, Sujanagar: Jannatul Ferdous Happy’s dream was to study in university. He enrolled in Satbaria College to fulfill that dream.
But on Saturday around 2 pm, on his way from Sujanagar Bazar to his home Satbaria, he was crushed by the wheels of the motorcycle in a head-on collision between a passenger easybike and a motorcycle in front of the Madrasah of Manikadi. At the same time, his dream of studying at the university ended in a road accident.
Jannatul Ferdous Happy is the daughter of Abu Hossain (Babu) of Tarabaria village of Satbaria union in Sujanagar upazila of Pabna.
Principal of Satbaria Degree College, Abdul Bachet Bachchu, said that the deceased Jannatul Ferdous Happy was a meritorious student of twelfth class humanities department of his institution and his class roll was (01).
Happy’s father Abu Hossain (Babu) said in a tearful voice, Jannatul Ferdous Happy passed the SSC examination with GPA-5 from humanities branch with the determination to fulfill his dreams and the dreams of his parents.
The girl was very talented. He was dreaming of getting admission in the university by scoring well in the upcoming HSC examination. He was our place of hope. With his death all our hopes are over.
Our dream about him was sky high. Why did he dream of me and his mother and left? Leaving us alone, my liver can’t go like this!
Even though he is supposed to come home as a human being after finishing his studies at the university, my child came in an ambulance in a coffin.
Meanwhile, the death of a talented student, Jannatul Ferdous Happy, has cast a shadow of mourning among the local residents and the teachers and students of the college.
Pabna-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Ahmed Firoz Kabir, Upazila Chairman Shahinuzzaman Shaheen, Upazila Executive Officer Tariqul Islam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Solaiman Hossain, Satbaria Degree College President SK Habibullah and Principal Abdul Bachet Bachchu are deeply saddened and bereaved families. Jalal Uddin, OC of Sujanagar police station, said that the police station did not receive any complaint from the family of the road accident victim.
