Garment workers injured in police firing in the movement demanding salary increase in Konabari area of ​​Gazipur. Jamal Uddin (40) passed away. He was a worker of Islam Garments.

He died in intensive care unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College (DHMC) Hospital on Saturday (November 11) around 1 am.

This was confirmed by Bachchu Mia, in-charge inspector of DMK Hospital police camp. He said that a garment worker named Jalal Uddin was shot dead during the agitation demanding increase in salary and allowances in Gazipur. He died in ICU bed number 6 while undergoing treatment at night.

Bachchu Mia said that her house is in Ghasali Bazar area of ​​Kendua police station of Netrakona district. Her father’s name is Chan Mia.

It should be noted that on November 8, Jamal Uddin, a worker of Islam Group, was shot dead by the police in Konabari Jurun area of ​​Gazipur. Later he was rescued and brought to Dhaka Medical. Besides, the workers of Islam Group Anjuara Khatun was shot dead on the spot by the police.
