A group of youths are beating the truck driver. A young man named Abdur Razzak Rakib (24) died after being stabbed by the miscreants while trying to stop the beating. Meanwhile, two more seriously injured have been sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

This incident happened on Saturday (October 11) around 8:30 pm. The police arrested a young man who attacked from the spot. The incident immediately created tension in the area. After the incident, vehicular movement was stopped on Sherpur-Netrakona and Kishoreganj roads from Mymensingh for about an hour.

The deceased Abdur Razzak is the son of Osman Gani of Ward No. 32 Kalibari area of ​​Rakib Nagar.

Shah Kamal Akand, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said that there was a conflict between the passengers of the microbus and the truck driver over giving sides on the road. Due to this, some youths got down from the microbus and abused and beat the truck driver. When local transport workers, shopkeepers and businessmen blocked it, 3 people were stabbed. Later local people rescued them in a bloody state and took them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared Rakib dead.

Currently the situation is under control. Police arrested one person from the spot. Additional police have been deployed to control the situation.
