Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to the industrial city of Narsingdi on Sunday (November 12). The Prime Minister will inaugurate 11 development projects worth around Tk 16,000 crore there. After the inauguration, he will attend the public meeting organized at Mosleh Uddin Stadium in the district in the afternoon.
On the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister, the entire Narsingdi has been covered with a security blanket. About 10,000 members of the law and order forces including SSF, RAB and police are already stationed in Narsingdi to provide security to the Prime Minister. Besides, CCTV cameras have been installed for security in Narsingdi Mosleh Uddin Stadium and its surrounding area and in Palash Ghorashal and Palash Urea Sarkharkhana areas.
District Awami League leaders said that the public meeting will be a mass of people. Suspicious vehicles and persons are being searched at the entrances. On the occasion of Sheikh Hasina’s public meeting, the mood of the festival is going on all over the district.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate Asia’s largest Green Ghorashal Palash Urea Factory at Palash at 11:30 am. After the inauguration, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address a gathering. Finally, the district administration expects you to come to Narsingdi circuit house at half past two and take part in the midday feast. After lunch, Narsingdi will inaugurate the remaining 10 development projects built online at a cost of Tk 47 crore 14 lakh 69 thousand 126 while sitting at Mosleh Uddin Stadium.
Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner Dr. Badiul Alam said that after receiving the letter of Prime Minister Narsingdi’s arrival, he held a meeting with all the relevant departments of the government. All preparations have already been completed. The Prime Minister will come to Palash first. Inaugurate the Sarkarkhana and address a short gathering.
He will come to Narsingdi Circuit House. From Circuit House, Narsingdi will attend the public meeting at Mosleh Uddin Stadium. Notably, SSF’s progress team did Reiki in all these three places. Two teams of SSFA are permanently stationed at Palash and Narsingdi. Already, full preparations have been completed including construction of stage and helipad, renovation of roads. Mentioning that the district administration is coordinating this program, he further said that branding activities have also been completed in different places of Narsingdi to highlight the significant history of Narsingdi including Narsingdi branding products GI products such as bananas, latkons, loom sarees, Birshrestha Matiur Rahman, Shaheed Asad.
District Awami League President GM Taleb Hossain said that all arrangements have been made to welcome Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. People from all walks of life of Narsingdi are eagerly waiting to welcome the Prime Minister along with the party leaders and activists, forgetting all differences and insults.
When asked whether there is any demand for further development of Narsingdi from the district Awami League, the veteran politician said that the people of Narsingdi will demand for the construction of a public library, medical college and some cold storage facilities.
District Awami League general secretary Pirzada Mohammad Ali said that we are getting the support of every leader and worker of the party to make the public meeting a success. Mentioning that about lakhs of people will gather in this public meeting, he said, well-wishers will also come from three neighboring districts.
The members of various state organizations including SSF are working in the grand gathering place Mosleh Uddin Maidan with utmost caution.
