In Kurigram’s Bhurungamari, there has been an allegation of the death of a newborn baby due to the irresponsibility of the doctor. The newborn died shortly after the caesarean section last Friday night. At this time, the family members of the newborn expressed their anger in front of the clinic.
It is known that Dr. Nasima Khatun of Ashraful Alam’s wife of Ajmata Komperhat area of Ramkhana Union of Nageshwari Upazila performed caesarean section at Mahbub Clinic in Bhurungamari on Friday night. Dr. Nasima said after the caesarean section that the baby in the womb was incomplete. Died shortly after the seizure due to respiratory problems.
Abdul Mannan Sarkar, the uncle of the pregnant woman, said, “My niece was being treated by Dr. Nasima Khatun at the Mahbub Clinic as she was pregnant.” On October 27, an ultrasonogram was done at the clinic to check the condition of the unborn child. He also said that when Dr. Nasima was recalled last Friday, she suggested a caesarean section and performed the caesarean section at night. The newborn died because the doctor performed the caesarean without any tests before the caesarean.
Alleging irresponsibility against Dr. Nasima Khatun, a man named Hanif said, Dr. Nasima performed caesarean section of my aunt and left a thread in her stomach. After experiencing pain in the abdomen, it was removed by re-operation.
Doctor Nasima tried to contact her on her mobile phone to get her statement, but she could not be found.
Rabiul Alam Ranju, director of Mahbub Clinic, said that the death of the newborn after cesarean section has been resolved.
Kurigram District Civil Surgeon Dr. Manzoor-e-Murshed said that action will be taken if there is a complaint about the death of a newborn due to irresponsibility of the doctor.
