The Prime Minister will inaugurate South Asia’s largest fertilizer factory today

South Asia’s largest eco-friendly urea fertilizer plant inaugurated today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to Narsingdi after 19 years today (November 13). Bangabandhu’s daughter will inaugurate Ghorashal-Palash urea fertilizer factory there.

The energy efficient and environment friendly factory will produce more than 9 lakh tonnes of urea fertilizer every year. Through this, Bangladesh will save about Tk 7000 crore annually in the import of urea fertilizer.

The Ministry of Industry organized a press conference on the occasion of the inauguration of Ghorashal Palash Urea Fertilizer Factory last Thursday. Zakia Sultana, senior secretary of the Ministry of Industry, highlighted various aspects of the modern factory in the press conference.

The Prime Minister will attend the party public meeting after the inauguration and reconciliation rally. The party rally will be held at Mosleh Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in the district town. On the occasion of his arrival, the mood of the festival is going on in the district. Excited district people and party leaders.

On the surface, it can be seen that the whole city is being decorated. Road repair-stage construction is in progress. Helipad is under construction. These preparations are going on on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s arrival.

A total of Tk 15,500 crore has been spent on the implementation of this fertilizer factory project. This includes foreign debt of Tk 10,920 crore, which will take 10 years to repay. The factory has a daily production capacity of 2,800 tons of fertilizer.

There will be tight security on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s arrival. CCTV cameras have been installed in important places.

Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Mostafizur Rahman said, to ensure security, our uniform police, traffic police and police in plain clothes will be in charge. Care will be taken to avoid any trouble.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last visited Narsingdi in 2004. He is going there again after 19 long years.
