Police have arrested the absconding driver of the bus accident, Nurul Abshar, who is the main accused in the case of overturning a CNG auto-rickshaw in Bhedvedi area of Rangamati city.
On Thursday (November 9) at 11:30 a.m. in the news conference at the Police Superintendent’s office, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Maruf Ahmed.

Additional Superintendent of Police said in the press conference. Maruf Ahmad said that the driver ran away after the bus accident. Later, when a case was filed by the deceased’s family, the police started an operation to arrest the driver, Nurul Abshar.
Multiple teams of Rangamati District Police conducted raids in different areas. At one stage of the operation, bus driver Nurul Abshar was arrested from the area of Jamiatul Sunnia Madrasa under Chittagong Panchlaish Police Station at around 11:30 on the night of November 8.
Rangamati District Police, a team of District Intelligence Branch (DB), Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell and Kotyali Thana Police worked in the operation using information technology.
Two passengers of a CNG-autorickshaw were killed when a passenger bus number: Chattmetro-J 11-0018 collided with a passenger bus in the Bhedvedi Bazar area of the district town last Saturday (November 4) at noon. In this incident, four others including the autorickshaw driver were injured.
