In Narsingdi, a Saudi returnee named Kamruzzaman (42) was killed by the miscreants by slitting his throat.
Locals recovered the dead body of a man named Gurdas from the roof of his house in Brahmanpara Mahalla of the district town at 9 pm on Wednesday night with his throat cut and bleeding. Later informed the police.
Kamruzzaman is the son of late Abdul Hamid of Comilla Colony Mahalla in Satirpara area of Narsingdi city.
It is known that at one time he used to provide private tuition to boys and girls in the area. Later he went to Saudi Arabia in search of livelihood. He could not do any facilities there for a long time. He returned from Saudi Arabia three months ago.
Quoting the family members, the police said that after returning to the country three months ago, Kamruzzaman started teaching boys and girls privately like in the past. He left his house in Comilla Colony on Wednesday evening for private teaching. Later, at around 9 pm, the locals found him in a bloody state on the roof of the house of a man named Gurdas in Brahmanpara. Later, locals rescued him from there with his throat slit and took him to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where the doctor in charge declared him dead.
Narsingdi Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kashem Bhuiyan confirmed the truth of the incident and said that Kamruzzaman’s body has been sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. However, the police have started working to find out who killed him and why.
It is to be noted that within a week of the murder of a man named Rana Mollah in Narsingdi Kauriapara Mohalla, which is known as the city of murder, there is panic in the area.
