Police Investigation Bureau (PBI) Thakurgaon has solved the mystery of the murder of auto driver Rifat in Ruhia police station area of ​​Thakurgaon and arrested seven people.

The matter was confirmed by Mahfuzzaman Ashraf, Additional DIG (PBI) Thakurgaon through a pre-briefing at Thakurgaon PBI office on Wednesday (November 08) morning.

The arrested are- Rabiul Islam (16) Father: Halim Uddin, Kamrul Hasan (24) Father: Deceased Ashraf Chowdhury, Eraj Uddin (62) Father: Deceased Chaitan, Jahangir Alam (32), Atul Burman (32), Alamgir Hossain and Nasir Uddin All of them are residents of Panchagarh district and linked to auto bangle syndicate.

According to PBI, under the overall supervision of PBI Thakurgaon district, the investigating officer of the case SI Rabiul Islam and a smart team arrested the accused and seized the evidence. Basically, this murder is for the purpose of robbing the auto charger. The entire gang has been arrested and maximum punishment will be ensured.

It is to be noted that on October 16 this year, Ruhia Thana police recovered the body of auto driver Rifat from the paddy field. As there were no clues to the murder, the investigation was then handed over to the PBI. PBI arrested 7 people after identifying the killers through the use of digital technology and taking their statements.
