A seventh grade student of Gokulkhali Secondary School in Alamdanga Upazila of Chuadanga died after being hit by SIAM Ambulance.
The accident took place in the middle of Gokulkhali-Kulpala village on the Chuadanga-Meherpur regional highway around 1.30 pm on Wednesday.
Eyewitness Saiful Islam, farmer of Gokulkhali village, said, I was doing farming in the field. At this time, a speeding ambulance going from Meherpur towards Chuadanga rammed the bicycle on the road. At this time, the school student on the bicycle hit the road. We rescued him in bloody condition and brought him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital.
Chuadanga Sadar Hospital emergency department doctor Tarek Junayet said he died before reaching the hospital. We found him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Alamdanga police station Biplab Kumar Nath confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the body of the schoolboy has been kept in the morgue of Sadar Hospital. The legal matter is pending.
Belal Hossain and Hamidul Haque, assistant teachers of Gokulkhali Secondary School, said that the class teacher Jamal Hossain organized food and drink with the students of his class. Even though school is over, Siam goes out with his bicycle as the cooking is not finished. We rushed to Sadar Hospital after getting the news that Siam had died in an accident.
