On Wednesday, Dhaka’s First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Faisal Bin Atiq’s court was scheduled to take testimony in this case. Due to the blockade called by BNP-Jamaat on this day, the authorities did not produce the accused from the jail. For this reason, the court has fixed November 23 for the next hearing.

Of the 38 witnesses in the case, 15 have finished testifying.
The other accused in this case are Suraiya Akhter Kaya, Rahmat Ullah, Swapan Sarkar, Mizan Sheikh, Atiq Hasan, Sarwar Hasan and Didar Pathan. Arav and Kaya are absconding among them.
Incidentally, police inspector Mamun was killed in Banani on July 7, 2018. Three days after the incident, his brother became the plaintiff and filed a murder case. After the investigation, on March 31, 2019, the police filed a charge sheet in the court against 8 people including Rahmatullah, Rabiul Islam alias Apon alias Sohag alias Hriday alias Hridi. On November 25, 2021, the court ordered the trial to begin by forming a complaint in this case.
