A delegation of Awami League is going to visit the country on Wednesday (November 8) at the invitation of the Communist Party of China. Awami League International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed told NTV Online this information.
Shammi Ahmed said, ‘Awami League presidium member Muhammad Farooq Khan led the delegation and the international affairs sub-committee member Khaled Masood Ahmed, Tarun Kanti Das and Suman Kundu are there. They will leave Dhaka for China on November 8 around 3 pm. It is a five-day visit of the delegation.’
Shammi Ahmed also said that this delegation is going on the invitation of the Communist Party of China to attend a South Asian conference.
According to party sources, Awami League leaders will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of China’s ruling party during the visit. Apart from contemporary political issues, the Rohingya issue can be discussed there.
Earlier on May 22, a delegation of 17 members of Awami League headed by Farooq Khan visited China. After the tour, they returned home on May 31. Then in July, a delegation of 12 members of the 14-party alliance led by Awami League visited China. Rashed Khan Menon, president of the Workers’ Party, led there.
