Meghna Cement Mills Limited, a listed cement sector company, will give 10 percent dividend to shareholders.
This dividend has been declared for the shareholders after reviewing the audited financial report for the financial year ended July 2022 to June 30, 2023. Out of this 5 percent cash and 5 percent bonus shares. That is, shareholders will get shares at the rate of 50 paise and 5 percent against one share.
On Wednesday (November 8), this information was revealed by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
According to DSE data, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the year ended June 30 stood at 53 paise. From there decided to pay 10 percent dividend for shareholders.
The previous year in 2022, the earnings per share (EPS) of the company was Rs 1 91 paise.
The company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) date has been fixed on December 27 for unanimous approval of the dividend declared by the board. The AGM will be held on the digital platform at 11 am on that day. That is why the record date has been fixed on 3rd December.
The company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) as on 30 June 2023 stood at Tk 50 58 paise. Which was 55 taka 14 paisa at the same time of the previous year.
