From Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am (in one day) 8 more people died due to dengue infection across the country. At the same time, 1895 patients were admitted to the hospital with newly diagnosed dengue. Among the infected, 394 people were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 1501 people were admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.
This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Tuesday (November 7).
It is said in the notification that at present, a total of 6 thousand 555 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 1,722 dengue patients in Dhaka’s public and private hospitals and 4,833 dengue patients in other hospitals.
This year, 2 lakh 83 thousand 593 patients have been admitted to hospital and received treatment due to dengue throughout the country. Among them, 1 lakh 1 thousand 961 people in Dhaka and 1 lakh 81 thousand 632 people outside Dhaka received treatment.
Among the affected, 2 lakh 75 thousand 613 people have recovered from the hospital and returned home. 99 thousand 395 in Dhaka and 1 lakh 76 thousand 218 outside Dhaka have recovered and returned home.
1425 people have died due to dengue this year.
