Discussion meeting in Rupganj on the occasion of freedom fighter killing day

A discussion meeting and prayer ceremony was held in Rupganj of Narayanganj on the occasion of the killing of freedom fighters on November 7. The meeting was held on the initiative of Upazila Awami League in Kendua area of ​​Kanchan Municipality of Upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

Alhaj Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Upazila Parishad and candidate for the nomination, spoke as the chief guest in the meeting under the chairmanship of Kanchan Municipal Mayor Rafiqul Islam. District Awami League leader Khandkar Abul Bashar Tuku, upazila Awami League leader Kamal Hossain Kamal, former president of Upazila Chhatra League Aminul Haque Khokon also spoke at the meeting.

The speakers said that after the killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his own family in 1975, some of the then army personnel became desperate to seize power. On November 7, they killed many soldiers. Therefore, the murderer and his accomplices cannot be brought to power in any way.

Later, a special prayer was offered to all the slain freedom fighters with deep respect for their souls.
