The court sent Rafiqul Islam, the former president of Daganbhuana 6 Sadar Union BNP, to jail in the case of murder, attempted rape, vandalism, explosion, car vandalism and arson.

The learned Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Feni gave this order on Monday afternoon.

He is the son of Nurul Islam of South Alipur village and a member of the district BNP.

Earlier, Feni detective police arrested him from a house in Mehdi Bagh area of ​​Chittagong on Sunday night.

Nizam Uddin, OC of Daganbhuana police station, said that the arrested Rafiq is a member of the district BNP. He is a supplier of explosives used for sabotage in different areas of Feni including Daganbhuana and a terrorist financier. There are 6 cases of murder, attempted rape, theft, vandalism, explosion, car vandalism and arson against him in Daganbhuana and Companyganj police stations.

It is reported that the victim woman filed a case against him at Daganbhuana Police Station on September 20, 2020 in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in Daganbhuana. In the said case, he was on the run for some time after being released on bail.

Besides, there is a murder case against him in Companyganj police station, the said case is under trial in Noakhali court. There is an arrest warrant against him in that case.
