Wholesale egg and potato sellers think that the prices of these two products have fallen due to imports. Eggs were seen selling at 150 rupees in Mirpur section 13. And in the shops where fresh eggs have arrived on Tuesday (brought from the farm or wholesaler supply), the dozen are being sold at Tk 145. Currently selling at 48 to 50 Tk.
Those who brought eggs from the wholesale market a couple of days ago are selling them for 150 taka. Currently selling at 50 rupees.
Eggs are being sold at the same price in Mirpur 11 and Mohammadpur areas without number 13.
The wholesalers of Mirpur number 11 say that they can sell at a low price because they can buy at a low price. The eggs of that country will not be better than the eggs of our country. Egg sizes are small.

Based on income, since people with low income need to eat protein and choline; So these eggs are their hope.
Along with eggs, the price of potatoes has decreased in the market. Potatoes are being sold in the retail market at Tk 45 to Tk 50. Three-four days ago, the same potato was sold at Tk 55 to Tk 60 per kg.
Market people say that new potatoes have started growing; New vegetables are also available in the market. For this reason, potatoes from the freezer have started to be released more. Apart from that, the import of potatoes from India has also started; It has already entered the Dhaka market. The price of potatoes has decreased due to these two reasons.
Moazzem Hossain, the owner of Mirpur No. 11 Taqwa Art, said that Indian potatoes have arrived. We are selling wholesale at Tk 30 per kg. 100 sacks arrived on Monday, 70 sacks were sold. Rajshahi potatoes are being sold at wholesale prices of Tk 39 to Tk 42 and Bikrampur potatoes at Tk 34 to Tk 35 in the surrounding areas.
