After Mitul Hossain (16), a student of Textile Vocational Institute, was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a Kariman (motorized van) at Ishwardi in Pabna, his other classmate Siam Hossain (16) died.
Yesterday, Monday (November 6), Siam died while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital at 12:30 pm. Earlier on Monday (November 6) at 9:30 a.m., the accident took place in Baharpur area of Ishwardi-Pabna highway.
He is the son of Shihab Sardar, a resident of Noodapara village of Dashuria Union of Siam Upazila and the former office secretary of Upazila Volunteer League. She was a class 10 student of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute. The institute’s superintendent Rafiqul Islam confirmed Siam’s death. Another Vishal Hossain is under treatment in ICU at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
According to police and family sources, on Monday around 9:30 am, three friends were going to take the exam on a motorcycle. Mitul Hossain, son of Ismail Hossain of village Dashuria Atail Shimul, a class 10 student of the institute, died on the spot.
It is known that the injured Siam Sardar and Vishal Hossain (15), son of Bachchu Mandal of Dashuria Khairbari village, were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition. Siam Sardar died there at around 12:30 pm while undergoing treatment. The condition of Vishal Hossain under treatment is critical. He has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Dashuria Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Bakul Sardar said, I have heard the news of Siam Sardar’s death. His body is at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. The death of two students of my union and the hospitalization of a critically injured student in the ICU has cast a pall over the area.
