Not only the Delhi-NCR region, but the entire country will have a ban on buying, selling and cracking of bets during the Diwali season. This is what the Supreme Court said on Tuesday. With the comment of the top court of the country, ‘Delhi’s toxic air is killing people’s health.’

What is the Supreme Court’s comment on air pollution?

This was the observation of the judge on Tuesday while hearing a case in the Supreme Court on excessive pollution and rise in AQI. Earlier, the top court of the country had banned betting on the occasion of Diwali. The Supreme Court is not willing to lift the ban on the sale of bets in any way. The court said, ‘Prevention of pollution is not only the responsibility of the court. A complete misconception. It is everyone’s responsibility.’

The top court of the country strongly commented, ‘It is not desirable to always have a political spin around this issue. Burning of hay should be stopped immediately. We don’t know how to stop it. But burning must be stopped now. which must be done immediately.’ A ban on stubble burning has been imposed in Punjab at the moment. In this context, Supreme Court Justice Sanjay Kishan said, ‘I recently went to Punjab. On both sides of the road, I saw mice burning straw for miles.’

Commenting on the ‘killing of human health’, the Supreme Court on this day practically lashed out at the state governments on air pollution. The Supreme Court of the country did not give concession to the UP government of Delhi. The judge said, ‘Delhi government is also responsible for this air pollution. There are many buses that are polluting the air. The government should look into this matter.’

The Supreme Court has directed the governments of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi to hold an emergency meeting on the air pollution. The Supreme Court also commented that this situation cannot happen in Delhi at the beginning of winter year after year.
