Own Representative, New Delhi: The brutal killing of children is increasing in the country. This time this incident happened in Bhubaneswar. A five-year-old child was allegedly strangled to death after being raped in a slum in Bhubaneswar on Monday. It has been reported that the incident took place in Kela Sahi of Sundarpara area under Airfield Police Station of Bhubaneswar. After this incident, the residents of the slum complained that the main accused entered the house and raped and killed a 5-year-old child by slitting her throat.
After this brutal murder, the accused fled from the spot. In the complaint lodged with the police, the girl’s parents said that they did not find the girl at home after returning from work and after much searching, they found her dead body under the bed. After this incident, a shopkeeper said that the girl came to his shop to buy chocolates with the accused.
Nearby residents also said they saw the accused entering and leaving his house. Airfield Police Officer-in-Charge Ashok Naik has already said that a special squad operation has been started to catch the accused. Naik also said that preliminary investigation indicated that the accused committed the crime alone. Currently, the girl’s body has been sent for post-mortem. It is learned that a scientific team will collect evidence from the spot. However, it is not yet known what caused the accused to commit this brutal incident. Naturally, due to this incident, the shadow has spread in the area.
