After Mitul Hossain (15), a student of Textile Vocational Institute, was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a Kariman (motorized van) in Pabna’s Ishwardi, his other classmate Siam Hossain (15) died.
He died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital around 1 pm on Tuesday (November 7) while under treatment. Earlier on Monday (November 6) at 9:30 a.m., the accident took place in Baharpur area of Ishwardi-Pabna highway.
Siam Hossain (15) is a 10th class student of dress making department of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute and the son of Shihab Sardar of Naodapara village of Dashuria Union, former office secretary of Swachhasebak League of Upazila. Mitul was also a student of the same class in the same institute. Another Vishal Hossain is under treatment in ICU at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
According to family sources, three friends were going to take the exam on a motorcycle around 9:30 am on Monday. On the way, there was a face-to-face collision between a motorcycle and an engine-driven Kariman at Baharpur on Ishwardi-Pabna highway. Mitul Hossain, a 10th class student of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute, among the three riders of the motorcycle, was killed on the spot. Siam Sardar and Vishal Hossain were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. Siam Sardar died at around 1 am while undergoing treatment there. The condition of Vishal Hossain under treatment is critical. He has been kept in the ICU of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. His condition is also said to be critical.
Umm Habiba, a doctor at Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, said that Mitul was killed at the scene of the accident. Siam, who was seriously injured, also died in the night. And Vishal is under treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. His condition is critical.
Rafiqul Islam, Superintendent of Ishwardi Government Vocational Textile Institute, said that the two people who died in the road accident were 10th class students of my school. In the morning, three of them were coming to take the test on the same motorcycle. This is sad. On behalf of the school, my condolences and condolences to the family.
