The UP Chairman was hit by a train while walking in the morning

Shahjahan Ali Moral, Chairman of Gadkhali Union Parishad of Jhikargacha Upazila of Jessore, died after being hit by a train. The accident took place on the railway line in Syedpara village at around 6 am on Tuesday (November 7).

Sheikh Anarul Islam Ripa, a member of Gadkhali Union Parishad, confirmed the matter and told Dhaka Post that Chairman Shahjahan Ali Moral woke up early in the morning and went out for a walk. On Tuesday morning, he left his house and walked over the Syedpara railway line towards the market. At that time he was hit by a train coming from behind and died on the spot. Later, people in the vicinity saw the chairman lying beside the railway line and informed the police and locals.

He said, no one can say in which train the accident happened. The accident happened around 6 o’clock. Freight trains usually leave this morning. So I think this accident can happen in a freight train.

To know more about this matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhikargacha police station called Sumon Bhakta’s mobile number several times but could not contact him.
