Srivardi (Sherpur): A driver named Al Amin (45) died in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Srivardi. The incident took place on Srivardi-Vayadanga road of Bakchar village of the upazila on Monday afternoon. At this time, two people named Abdullah and Mamun were seriously injured. They are being treated at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Qayyum Khan Siddiqui, OC of Srivardi police station, confirmed the matter.
Dewanganj (Jamalpur): A young man named Shipon Mia (18) was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and hitting a tree in Dewanganj. The accident took place at Kajlapara intersection of Chikajani Union of the upazila on Monday afternoon. Dewanganj Police Station OC Biplab Kumar Biswas confirmed the matter.
Ishwardi (Pabna): A school student was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a cattle carrier in Ishwardi. Two more people were seriously injured in the incident. The accident took place on Monday morning in Baharpur area of Ishwardi-Pabna highway. The deceased motorcycle rider Mitul (14) is a ninth grade student of Iswardi Vocational Textiles.
Natore: Three autorickshaws and five autovans and a motorcycle were crushed when a truck braked on the slope of the bridge at Naldanga in Natore. Two autorickshaw passengers and two drivers were seriously injured on the spot. Later, the locals rescued the injured and admitted them to the hospital. The accident took place at Naldanga upazila’s municipal junction around 4 pm on Sunday. The injured are Jasmine Khatun, Abdur Razzak, Abul Hossain and Sentu. Naldanga police station OC Abul Kalam confirmed the matter and said that the truck was seized and brought to the police station.
