13 more cases against BNP leaders and workers, 177 arrested

This tally of cases and arrests is based on information sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and court-related sources and representatives of Prothom Alo in 18 districts. The 18 districts where new cases and arrests have taken place outside Dhaka are Sunamganj, Meherpur, Narsingdi, Sirajganj, Tangail, Mymensingh, Kushtia, Pabna, Pirojpur, Khulna, Satkhira, Chittagong, Narayanganj, Feni, Gazipur, Manikganj, Bogra and Noakhali. .

According to the information sent by the DMP, court-related sources and Prothom Alo representatives, a total of 8,133 BNP leaders and workers have been arrested across the country in 10 days from October 28 to November 6.

In the 13 new cases that have been registered in the last 24 hours, about five hundred leaders and workers of various levels of BNP have been accused. Meanwhile, police have arrested BNP General Secretary Ismail Hossain in a case of sabotage at Cantonment Police Station in Dhaka. And BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman, who was arrested from the Cantonment area last Monday night, was arrested in the case of the attack and vandalism of the residence of the Chief Justice. The police remanded him for three days yesterday through the court.
