Mymensingh: A passenger bus collided with a pickup and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the bypass area of ​​Mymensingh city. So far four people have been killed in this accident. At least 15 people were injured.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station Shah Kamal Akand said that the accident happened on Monday (November 6) around 12:30 pm. While overtaking the passenger bus hit the pickup and the autorickshaw from behind.

Eight of those injured in the accident have been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. The casualty was not immediately identified.

The OC said that the high-speed passenger bus from Dhaka to Sherpur hit the pickup van and CNG from behind while overtaking at Shikarikanda area of ​​Mymensingh city bypass around 12:30 pm. At this time, the billboard on the highway divider fell down. The passenger pickup van overturned on the side of the highway. The front part of the bus also twisted and got stuck on the road divider.

Two were killed on the spot. After receiving the information, local residents, police and fire service personnel reached the accident site and rescued the injured. They were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Two of them died on the way.
