The 21st death anniversary of late Ansar Ali Master was observed last Friday. On this occasion, a Milad and prayers were organized at Jame Masjid of the deceased’s home. The former assistant director of Comilla Medical College Hospital, the second son of the late Dr. Abul Hashem Ansari along with other sons and grandsons participated. Namtala Barabari Jame Masjid Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Abul Khair conducted the prayer ceremony.

Awlad Golam Mostafa Al Mamun, Comilla Victoria Government College Assistant Professor of Mathematics Hasan Kabir Jewel, Comilla Sadar Hospital Medical Officer Dr. Faria Zafreen Ansari, Lecturer in English Department, Comilla Cantonment Eotzhang, Faria Naureen Ansari, Head of Department of Economics, Debidwar Alhajj Jobeda Khatun Women’s Degree College and Assistant Professor Najma Akhter Chowdhury, Assistant Surgeon/Resident Medical Officer, Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital (Midfort) Dr. Shadman Shabab Tausif, Shahadat Hossain, Assistant Director, Agargaon, Dhaka Passport Directorate, Ministry of Home Affairs and local people and relatives were present.
It should be noted that the late Ansar Ali Master was born in 1908 in a large house in Namtala village of No. 6 Adarsh ​​Mainamati Union of Comilla District Burichong Police Station. He received his primary education from 1920 to 1925 at Bireswar Moktar’s ‘Toll’/’Pathshala’ of Gargair village in the neighboring Mokam (Burichong, Comilla) Union. He studied at Gangamandal Raj Institute (Jafarganj High School, Brahmanpara, Comilla) and Chandina Pilot High School. In 1939, he passed the ‘Matriculation’ examination under Calcutta University from Mainamati High School in the second division. In the same year he got admission in Comilla Victoria Government College. But due to the 2nd world war education was suspended. From 1941 to 1942 he served as “Fire Fighter” (Fire Safety Officer) at Calcutta ‘Dum Dum’ Airport. He was working as an administrative officer in Comilla Mainamati Cantonment from 1943 to 1944. From 1944 to 1962 he served as the head teacher of the ‘Minor English’ school. In 1962 he joined the local Chandsar, Mainamati, Burichong as an assistant teacher due to the education policy of the government and retired in 1978. He died in 2002 of old age and a stroke.
