The hanging body of the maid was recovered from the police officer’s house in Sylhet

The body was recovered from flat number 12 of Apan Blue Tower in Sagardighipara area of ​​the city on Monday afternoon.

Jamia worked as a maid in Manjurul Ahsan’s house for about two years. She is the daughter of Abdur Rashid of Ballabpur village of Chatak upazila of Sunamganj.

SMP Deputy Commissioner (North, Media) Azbahar Ali Sheikh informed this information. He said Manjurul Ahsan and his wife were in their respective offices. Around 12 noon the children came home from school and found the door locked. As the door did not open, they informed the parents. They informed the police. At around 12:30, the police went and found Jamia hanging from the towel bar of the bathroom with a veil around her neck.

Azbahar Ali Sheikh also said that later the police recovered the body and took legal steps. Apart from that Jamia’s family is also informed. Jamia’s family members have no complaint in this regard. A case of wrongful death will be filed at the police station in connection with his death. After the legal process, the body will be handed over to the family. However, the reason for his suicide is not yet known.
