College student dies after being hit by a truck in Bogra

A college student named Md Nur Arafat Fardin Hasan (20) died after being hit by a cargo truck in Sherpur, Bogra.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Bogra highway at Chhonka-Chandipur in Bhavanipur union of Sherpur upazila on Monday afternoon. The deceased is the son of Mokhleshur Rahman of Gwaljani village of Sughat union of Arafat Fardin upazila. He is a second year degree student of local Rahima Nawsher Ali Degree College.

Abdul Wadud, in-charge of Sherpur Highway Police Outpost, said that Fardin was going home on a motorcycle from the local Chhonka Bazar. On the way, when reaching the Chhonka-Chandipur highway, a Dhaka-bound freight truck hit the motorcycle. College student Arafat Fardin died on the spot after falling from the motorcycle and falling on the highway. As the killer truck fled immediately after the incident, it was not possible to arrest any of the driver-helpers of the truck.
