News Daily Digital Desk: A man of Indian origin, convicted of murdering his wife by cutting and running over a car, was sentenced to life in prison in an American court. It was alleged that the man killed his wife by cutting 17 times in 2020. He even crushed his wife with the wheel of the car. In that case, the Florida court handed down a life sentence.
The name of the accused is Philip Mathew. Originally from Kerala. Worked in Florida, USA. It was there that he was accused of brutally killing Marin Joy, the wife of 26. The young woman worked as a nurse. Joy’s colleagues at the eyewitness hospital said that Joy was like a bump, thus Matthew drove the car over the body. We ran for help crying, saying, “I have a child.”

আদালত সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, ম্যাথুর সঙ্গে দাম্পত্য বিষিয়ে উঠলে সম্পর্ক থেকে বেরিয়ে আসার চেষ্টা করেন জয়। এর পরেই স্ত্রীকে তাঁর কর্মক্ষেত্র হাসপাতালের পার্কিং লটে নৃশংসভাবে হত্যা করেন ম্যাথু। গত শুক্রবার মামলা আদালতে উঠলে তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে ওঠা অভিযোগকে চ্যালেঞ্জ না করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেন ম্যাথু। এর পরেই ফ্লোরিডার আদলত তাঁকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করে যাবজ্জীবন কারাদণ্ডের সাজা শোনায়।
