
The police later arrested the woman’s former driver for his involvement in the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem. According to Bengaluru police sources, Dhrith Kiran was working as a driver for government official Prothma on contract basis for the last five years. Kiran was sacked last Saturday as his contract expired.
And the accused could not accept it. The investigators claimed that Kiran told the interrogation that he killed him out of anger at being fired. Police said the woman officer’s husband and son were not at home at the time of the murder. It is reported that they were at a place in Shivamoga district, about 300 km from Bengaluru.
On the morning of November 5, Prothma was called by his brother. He called several times. But due to the lack of response, there is doubt. After that he called the Bengaluru police and told the whole incident. At around 8:30 in the morning, the police recovered the body of the female government officer with her throat cut from the house.
The police also said that the accused gave Kiran Champat soon after the murder. He fled to Chamarajnagar, about 200 km from Bengaluru. He was arrested from there. After the preliminary investigation, the investigators said that Prathma was in the office till 6 pm on November 4. Then Kiran’s replacement driver brought him home around 8 pm.

Investigators estimate that the incident took place between 8:00 p.m. that day and 8:00 a.m. the next day. A case has been filed against the accused under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder. It is learned that the Karnataka government official has been in Bangalore for more than a year. He is a senior official of the state environment department.
He is known as an active worker in the workplace. Prothma’s colleagues also claimed that he had no enemies. The Karnataka government has assured a proper investigation into the murder of the female government official.
