Break on the empty road

A Manzil Paribahan passenger bus lost control and rammed vans, rickshaws, pedestrians and other vehicles in the capital’s Moghbazar. A rickshaw rider was killed in this incident. Besides, at least eight people were injured. Three of them are in critical condition.
On Monday (November 6) around 5.30 pm, the bus caused the accident while getting off from Moghbazar flyover in Mohakhali’s Wireless Gate area.
The name of the deceased is Aynal Howladar (40). He is a resident of Madhur Char in Doha area of Dhaka.
In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ramna Police Station Abul Hossain told Dhaka Post that the Manzil Paribahan bus lost control while getting off the flyover at Moghbazar Wireless Gate area around 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, the bus hit the van, rickshaw and other vehicles in front including pedestrians. A rickshaw-puller was killed on the spot. Two of the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on an urgent basis. Five others were sent to local community hospitals.
He said, among the injured, some had broken arms, some had broken legs and some were seriously injured. After the incident, the driver of the bus, Helper, fled in the face of fire from the witnesses and locals. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the bus into custody. Police are looking for the driver and helper of the bus.
