A rural veterinarian named Sohel Rana Imdad (40) died after losing control of his moving motorcycle and hitting a tree at Alfadanga in Faridpur.
The accident took place at Buraich Musa Mier Bridge in the upazila around 3 o’clock on Monday.
Deceased Sohel Rana of Kathurakandi village of the same upazila. Son of Oliar Sheikh. Sohail Rana Imdad is a rural veterinarian by profession. He also worked as a vaccination worker at the Upazila Veterinary Hospital.
According to the police station and local sources, Sohail Rana Imdad Alfadanga was going to his home on a motorcycle from Sadar Bazar. On the way to the spot, the motorcycle lost control and fell off the road and hit a nearby palm tree. Later, the locals rescued him with serious injuries and took him to Alfadanga Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Alfadanga police station sub-inspector Yunuch Ali Biswas confirmed the death and said, ‘Sohail lost control of the motorcycle and hit a tree and sustained serious head injuries. Later the locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex where he died.’
