A freight train carrying stone bound for Pakur to Katihar was changing tracks on the up line near Harishchandrapur station. At that time a carriage derailed. According to railway sources, although the carriage overturned, the railway service of that branch was not disrupted. However, the locals claim that this freight car could have turned into a big danger. Currently, the work of removing the overturned train carriage from the line is going on.

According to railway sources, this freight train stopped at Harishchandrapur railway station for weighing process on Monday morning.
