The famous novel of the famous novelist and story writer Akhtaruzzaman Ilyas. ‘Khoabnama’ is a comprehensive life narrative of the people of that time in the background of the partition of the country in 1947. Through this story, the novelist has brought out the life and reality of the time with a skillful hand.
Munsi Baitullah Shah was shot dead by East India Company sepoy Sardar Taylor while going towards Mahasthangarh with Majnu Shah’s Agunti Fakir in the afternoon of the day of clearing the thick forest on the edge of the Katlahar bill and starting the plantation by placing a yoke on the tiger’s neck. The Giridangas on both sides of the Katlahar Bill and the people of their own Giridangas know that the Munshi rules the bill all night by taking a seat in the pakur tree on the north side of the bill.
