A Muni (35)-year-old woman died after being hit by a train at Akkelpur in Jaipurhat. He is speech impaired. Daughter of Mozahar Ali of Gunipur village of Sonamukhi Union.
The matter was confirmed by Akkelpur Railway Station Master Ms. Rehena Parveen.
The accident took place at Beltali near Hastabsantpur 275 rail bridge near outer signal, about one kilometer south of Akkelpur railway station.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., the locals reported to the railway station after seeing a body cut by the train at a place called Beltali on the south side of the Hastabsantpur rail bridge near the outer signal of the railway station. On receiving the information, station master Mocha Rehena Parveen informed Shantahar railway police.
In this regard, Akkelpur Station Master Rehena Parveen said that the woman was hit by the Chilahati-bound Antnagar Titumi express train that left Rajshahi. The train left Akkelpur station at 9:30 am. I got to know from local sources that the woman was cut on the south side of bridge number 275. He is believed to have died on the spot after being hit by a train.
Shantahar Railway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moktar Hossain said a police officer was sent to the spot as soon as the information was received.
