The police have arrested 4 accused in the sensational auto-rickshaw driver Aminul Islam murder case in Tangail’s Sakhipur. The arrested are Sharifa Akhter Shilpi (36), wife of Monirul Islam of Kaliganj of Lalmonirhat district, Bahar Hossain Kajal (57) son of Enamul Haque of Kaukhali of Pirojpur district, Sakhipur upazila of Tangail. Khokon Mia, son of Rahman Mia and Mokhleshur Rahman (54), son of Chalam Khan of Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi district.

Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Kayshar gave this information through a pre-briefing at the Police Superintendent’s office on Friday morning.

According to the Superintendent of Police, Tangail Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sharfuddin conducted an operation with the team of District Police and DB to arrest the accused in the case based on secret information. On Thursday night, 4 accused were arrested from Kashimpur of Gazipur, Kurgao area of ​​Ashulia. During preliminary interrogation, the accused have admitted their involvement in Aminul’s murder.

It is to be noted that on October 29, the police recovered the body of autorickshaw driver Aminul Islam from Akashmani Bagan in Kalmegha area of ​​Tangail’s Sakhipur upazila. Earlier on the night of October 28, miscreants killed him and stole his auto. On October 29, a murder case was registered at Sakhipur police station.
